जनवादी लेखक संघ हिंदी-उर्दू के लेखकों का एक अखिल भारतीय संगठन है। इसका गठन फरवरी 1982 में नई दिल्ली में एक अखिल भारतीय स्तर की कान्फ्रेंस में हुआ था जिसमें 500 से भी अधिक लेखकों ने शिरकत की थी जो भारत के सभी राज्यों से आए थे। इन प्रतिनिधियों ने संगठन का घोषणपत्र और संविधान पारित किया और अपनी कार्यकारिणी और केंद्रीय परिषद का चुनाव किया। यह बहुविदित सत्य है कि जनवादी लेखक संघ भारत में हिंदी और उर्दू के लेखकों का सबसे बड़ा संगठन है, जो सभी हिंदी-उर्दू क्षेत्र के राज्यों में जिला स्तर से राज्यस्तर तक की इकाई सक्रिय है।
