मूल रूप से कानपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश के निवासी अर्पित यादव समाजवादी पार्टी के बैनर तले राजनीति में सक्रिय हैं. राजनीति के साथ-साथ जनहित के कार्यों में अग्रसर होकर कार्य करने वाले अर्पित यादव वर्तमान में वार्ड 45, विश्व बैंक बर्रा, कानपुर से पार्षद पद पर अपनी सेवाएं दे रहे हैं.
संगठन से जुड़े कार्यों में बढ़ चढ़कर भागीदारी करने के साथ साथ अर्पित यादव वार्ड से जुडें मुद्दों के लिए भी सजग होकर कार्य करते हैं. वर्ष 2017 से पार्षद पद पर कार्य करते हुए उन्होंने वार्ड में विद्युत व्यवस्था को सुचारू करने, पेयजल संबंधित सुविधाएं मुहैया कराने और वार्ड के विभिन्न सामाजिक व धार्मिक कार्यों में सहभागिता दी है. भविष्य में स्थानीय प्रगति के लिए वह अन्य मुद्दों पर भी विकास कार्य करवाना चाहते हैं.
